Going to school. Gabbing on the phone. Shopping. Doing a few chores only after getting nagged by parents. These are just a few of the things that the average American teenage girl likely does in her day-to-day route. But life for a gypsy teen isn't quite the same.

TLC's new eight-part series, "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding," takes a look at the gypsy communities in our country, and Sunday's episode follows 14-year-old Priscilla of Douglasville, Ga., a?romanichal gypsy whose parents have raised her according to their culture.

What does that mean?

"I believe in a gypsy culture, gypsy beliefs, that the women stay home," her mom, Louann, tells the cameras in an exclusive sneak peek TLC shared with TODAY.com. "They clean, they take care of the husband. That is our job, and that's the way I raised Priscilla to be."

And it's what the teenager, who will soon be ready for marriage, is already practicing for.

"Most 14-year-old gorga girls (non-gypsies) are in school. I'm here cleaning, and that's the way I like it to be," Priscilla, who is home schooled, says as she wipes down the figurines in her family's camper home. "We think of this as fun. And if I don't clean, I kinda feel like, empty, like I haven't really done much. You know, I've just been lazy or something."

Bet many parents wish their children would think cleaning their rooms as "fun."

Though her mom has prepared her for married life,?her father?still?must?find the right man for her. The episode will also reveal how her father, Pat Baby, works to throw a huge Halloween party to attract all the available gypsy men in the area to meet his little princess.

Will Priscilla's prince show up at the Halloween party? Watch and see when "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" airs Sunday, May 6?at 10 p.m. on TLC.
